- Diagnosis of sepsis
- Age greater than 17 years
- Presence of an arterial catheter
- Lactate level greater than 2 mmol at any time prior to inclusion
You will not qualify if you...
- Mitochondrial defect
- Degenerative muscle disease
- Terminal liver failure
