A Large Language Model-based Chatbot for Alcohol Reduction in Patients With Metabolic Alcohol-Related Liver Disease
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Hong Kong residents aged 18 years or above
- Diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease confirmed by imaging (ultrasound, CT, MRI) or liver biopsy
- Presence of metabolic dysfunction: overweight or obesity (BMI �325 kg/m�b2), type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia (elevated triglycerides �3150 mg/dL or low HDL cholesterol), hypertension (blood pressure �3130/85 mmHg or on antihypertensive medication), or metabolic syndrome
- Alcohol consumption within specified ranges: males 210-420 g/week, females 140-350 g/week
- Intention to reduce or quit alcohol use
- Able to read and communicate in Chinese
- Own a smartphone with internet access

- Diagnosed with mental disease or cognitive impairments
- Participating in other ongoing clinical trials
