Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Men and women 18 years of age or older can participate in this study.
- Patients with rheumatoid arthritis for more than 2 years referred by their rheumatologist can participate.
- Healthy volunteers with a known history of rheumatoid arthritis can participate.
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with electrically, magnetically, or mechanically activated implants such as pacemakers, magnetic surgical clips, prostheses, or implanted neurological stimulators.
- Pregnant patients.
- Patients who are claustrophobic.
- Patients with impaired renal function such as elevated creatinine clearance or those on kidney dialysis.
- Patients with shock hypotension or unstable low blood pressure.
- Patients with rhabdomyolysis.
- Patients who have had a gadolinium contrast-enhanced MRA or MRI within the last 3 months.
