Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older and under 80 years
- Trauma patient treated in a resuscitation unit or emergency room
- Hospital admission within 24 hours after injury
- Assessment of Blood Consumption (ABC) score of 2 points or higher
You will not qualify if you...
- Use of prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) before hospital admission
- Use of anticoagulant drugs such as low molecular weight heparin, rivaroxaban, or warfarin
- History of venous thrombosis, coronary artery stents within 3 months, pulmonary embolism, or myocardial infarction
- Traumatic cardiac arrest occurring in the hospital
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or during pregnancy
- Patients with hemophilia A, other blood disorders, severe liver disease, cirrhosis, or other coagulation dysfunction
