Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Aged between 18 and 75 years
  • Finger injury on one finger downstream of the distal interphalangeal joint
  • Injury treated by directed healing or flap covering
  • Troublesome fingertip dysesthesia lasting more than 6 months but less than 24 months
  • Neuropathic pain with DN4 score 4 or higher
  • No allergy to anesthetics such as xylocaine or adrenaline
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Skin infection, amputation above distal interphalangeal joint, reimplantation, dysesthesia lasting more than 24 months, or multiple finger injuries
  • Patient refusal or inability to consent
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • History of tumor on the amputated finger
