Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Aged between 18 and 75 years
- Finger injury on one finger downstream of the distal interphalangeal joint
- Injury treated by directed healing or flap covering
- Troublesome fingertip dysesthesia lasting more than 6 months but less than 24 months
- Neuropathic pain with DN4 score 4 or higher
- No allergy to anesthetics such as xylocaine or adrenaline
You will not qualify if you...
- Skin infection, amputation above distal interphalangeal joint, reimplantation, dysesthesia lasting more than 24 months, or multiple finger injuries
- Patient refusal or inability to consent
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- History of tumor on the amputated finger
