Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- History of WHO Grade II-IV glioma with radiographic evidence of recurrent or progressive tumor
- Prior radiation therapy received for initial glioma treatment
- Any number of tumor recurrences allowed if no prior re-irradiation
- Brain MRI with contrast showing tumor 6 cm or smaller within 60 days before registration
- History and physical including neurological exam within 30 days before registration
- Karnofsky performance status of 60% or higher within 30 days before registration
- Age 22 years or older
- At least 8 weeks since completion of prior radiation therapy
- Signed approved informed consent
- Agreement to use effective contraception during study and for 6 months after if able to conceive or impregnate
- Negative pregnancy test for females of child-bearing potential within 28 days before registration
You will not qualify if you...
- Not a candidate for stereotactic biopsy or laser ablation surgery
- Impaired cardiac function or significant cardiac diseases including serious arrhythmias or recent severe heart conditions within 6 months
- Tumor located infratentorially or spread to leptomeningeal areas
- Unable to undergo MRI
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
