JADE National Registry for Treatment and Outcomes in Liver Cancer Patients with Hepatocellular or Cholangiocellular Cancer in Germany

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are conducting a national, prospective, longitudinal study in Germany to collect detailed information on patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma HCC or Cholangiocarcinoma CCC. The study aims to document patient characteristics, molecular diagnostics, treatments, and disease progression, as well as gather patient-reported outcomes and establish a decentralized biobank. This observational registry will help understand common treatment patterns and changes over time for these liver cancers. Patients diagnosed with HCC or CCC will be followed for up to three years. The study records data on systemic treatments, radiotherapies, surgeries, and outcomes as part of routine care determined by the treating physicians. Data collection includes patient characteristics, comorbidities, tumor details, and previous treatments at the time of inclusion. Patients are grouped based on their specific cancer type, either HCC or CCC. Participants will undergo regular evaluations throughout the three-year follow-up period. Researchers will monitor the course of treatment, treatment responses, progression-free survival, overall survival, and health-related quality of life through patient-reported outcomes. The study collects comprehensive data to better understand treatment realities and patient experiences, supporting improved care for liver cancer patients.
