Researchers are evaluating the effects of a combined movement and storytelling intervention (CMSI) on preschool children aged 3 to 6 years. This study focuses on how CMSI influences fundamental motor skills (including locomotor and object control skills), language development (such as comprehension, expression, vocabulary, and description), and levels of physical activity (light, moderate to vigorous intensity, and sedentary time). The trial is designed as a randomized controlled study with 144 children divided into experimental and control groups across different educational levels. The experimental groups will participate in CMSI sessions three times a week for 40 minutes each over 12 weeks, using one motor story per week. Each session includes a 5-minute warm-up with joint mobility exercises and story introduction, a 25-minute main activity involving storytelling and movement based on fundamental motor skills with verbal interaction, and a 10-minute cool down with calming activities and feedback. The control groups will not receive any treatment during this period. Participants will be assessed before the intervention, after 12 weeks of CMSI, and again two weeks post-intervention. Evaluations include fundamental motor skills, language development, and physical activity levels. The study uses a double-blind design with external professionals conducting measurements. Attendance of at least 85% of CMSI sessions is required, and children will be monitored for safety and adherence throughout the trial.
