Researchers are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of Henagliflozin in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The study aims to understand how Henagliflozin impacts metabolic health, including blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and body weight, as well as to monitor the occurrence of specific side effects like urinary and genital infections, kidney problems, and severe low blood sugar. It also investigates the effects of the treatment on muscle health, including muscle mass and strength. This is an observational study where participants with T2DM who are either currently treated with or eligible for treatment with Henagliflozin are observed without receiving additional interventions from the study. The study tracks various health indicators and adverse events over a 24-week period to gather real-world evidence about the treatment's safety and efficacy. Participants will be involved for 24 weeks during which researchers monitor the incidence of any adverse or serious adverse events. Assessments include measuring metabolic parameters such as glycated hemoglobin, fasting and post-meal blood glucose, blood pressure, body weight, and muscle health indicators like skeletal muscle mass and grip strength. The study also carefully observes for side effects including infections, kidney function changes, and severe hypoglycemia, helping to better understand Henagliflozin's impact in everyday clinical use.
