Gingival recession is the exposure of the tooth root caused by the gum margin moving downward from its normal position near the tooth crown. This condition affects both younger and older adults, with a high percentage of people over 18 experiencing at least one site of recession. The study evaluates the long-term effectiveness of a modified free gingival graft technique designed to treat this issue by improving gum tissue attachment and thickness. The treatment involves a specialized mucogingival surgery that aims to increase the height of keratinized gum tissue and enhance the thickness of the gum to support better oral hygiene. Participants will undergo this surgery, and their gum health will be monitored over a 12-month period with check-ins at 7 days, 14 days, 1 month, and then every 3 months to assess healing and effectiveness. Throughout the study, participants will be evaluated for improvements in root coverage and gum tissue condition using clinical assessments. Researchers will track changes from the start of treatment through the full year to determine the lasting impact of the technique. This includes monitoring plaque control and gum tissue health to ensure safety and treatment success.
