Smoking cessation is a major public health challenge with many individuals finding it difficult to quit despite existing options. This research aims to evaluate AI Molar Mind, a digital tool that uses artificial intelligence to assess oral health and provide personalized feedback. The study explores whether this approach can motivate people to quit smoking by highlighting smoking-related oral health issues such as periodontal disease, tooth discoloration, and oral cancer. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups one group receives a baseline oral health assessment using AI Molar Mind, which analyzes intraoral images and self-reported oral health data, while the other group receives standard smoking cessation care without this assessment. The study is conducted as a single-blind randomized controlled trial. Throughout the study, participants will be monitored to measure smoking cessation success at baseline and six months after quitting. Researchers will assess the effectiveness of AI Molar Mind in helping people stop smoking, tracking changes in smoking behavior and oral health. The trial is sponsored by Fayoum University and is designed for adults aged 18 to 65 years who smoke at least five cigarettes per day and are motivated to quit.
