Researchers are studying adults with ADHD who also have addictive disorders to see if adding a cognitive remediation program to methylphenidate treatment improves their symptoms and daily functioning. This study focuses on addressing neuropsychological difficulties common in ADHD with addiction, aiming to provide lasting benefits beyond standard medication and psychosocial care. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two programs alongside methylphenidate treatment. The experimental group will use the PRESCO software, which offers cognitive exercises targeting attention, memory, and other related functions through 30 to 45-minute computer sessions twice weekly over 16 weeks. Initially, sessions will be both in-person and at home, with neuropsychologist support and progress tracking. The control group will use AUDITICO software, focusing on auditory stimulation without targeting cognitive deficits, providing a comparable but distinct training experience. During the study, participants will undergo assessments at the end of the cognitive remediation program and six months later to measure changes in ADHD symptoms, neuropsychological function, addiction severity, and treatment adherence. Researchers will track immediate and sustained improvements using clinical interviews and software data. The total participation duration includes the 16-week treatment period and follow-up evaluations to understand both short- and medium-term effects.
