Actively Recruiting

Researchers are studying the long-term performance of the MPACT Dual Mobility (DM) cup for patients needing total hip replacement surgery. The main goal is to assess how well the prosthesis lasts over 10 years using the Kaplan Meier curve. Additional aims include evaluating the hip's function after surgery, the safety of the implant, and the stability of the prosthetic parts. The study follows patients who receive the MPACT DM cup during total hip arthroplasty. Researchers will monitor the hip's function using the Harris Hip Score, which looks at pain, mobility, stability, and deformity. Standard X-rays will be taken to assess bone changes around the implant, using specific scoring systems to determine implant fit and stability. The study will also track any complications like infections, fractures, or blood clots during and after surgery. Participants will be involved in follow-up visits over 10 years after their surgery. During these visits, doctors will perform evaluations including physical exams, questionnaires, and imaging tests to monitor the implant and hip function. The main measure is the implant's survival rate 10 years after surgery. Safety and adverse events will also be recorded to understand the long-term outcomes of the MPACT DM cup.
