Actively Recruiting

Researchers are studying patients who were hospitalized after a clearly defined depressive episode, including both isolated and recurrent cases. The study aims to evaluate the predictive value of the DD4 questionnaire in identifying the risk of depressive relapse three months after hospital discharge. This observational study uses medical records and follow-up data without adding any new assessments beyond routine evaluations. Participants in this study were hospitalized for a depressive episode and discharged after being considered in remission or partial remission, with a Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) score below 20. No treatments or interventions are being tested; instead, researchers review existing hospital data and the scheduled three-month post-discharge evaluation to assess relapse. During the study, data from patients' medical records and the three-month follow-up visit are reviewed. The main outcome measured is whether patients experience a depressive episode relapse within three months after discharge. No additional procedures or questionnaires are administered, and the study relies entirely on standard clinical data collected during regular care.
