Researchers are studying the use of ziconotide, a drug delivered directly into the spinal fluid, for managing chronic non-cancer pain that does not respond to standard treatments. While ziconotide is commonly used in cancer patients, its use for other types of long-lasting pain is less documented. This study aims to collect detailed information on patients with various non-cancer pain conditions, such as spinal cord injury, neuropathies, and fibromyalgia, who are treated with intrathecal ziconotide to better understand its role in this population. The study follows patients who receive ziconotide through an implanted pump that delivers the medication into the spinal fluid. Patients may be enrolled either retrospectively or prospectively and will be observed for up to two years after starting treatment. This includes those new to intrathecal therapy, as well as those already receiving treatment without ziconotide but scheduled to add it. Data will be collected on how ziconotide therapy is started, adjusted, and managed throughout the study period. Participants will be monitored through assessments capturing their medical history, pain characteristics, neuro-psychiatric status, disability, anxiety, and depression levels at treatment start and during follow-up. The study will also track changes in pain intensity, treatment safety, and overall care over two years. The researchers aim to describe the patients profiles and how their pain and related conditions evolve while receiving ziconotide-based intrathecal analgesia.
