Actively Recruiting

Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of a 4-week video-based education program for improving urinary continence in women with urinary incontinence who are referred for pelvic floor rehabilitation. The study aims to determine whether this structured video program reduces symptoms before pelvic floor muscle strengthening compared to a paper document providing similar information. The video-based education program consists of four 20-minute workshops delivered once a week, covering pelvic floor anatomy and physiology, urinary tract physiology, digestive tract physiology, and the pathophysiology of urinary incontinence and related pelvic floor disorders with preventive measures. Participants will either receive this video program or a paper document over the 4-week period before starting pelvic floor rehabilitation sessions with a physiotherapist. During the study, women will complete urinary incontinence questionnaires after the 4-week education or information period, after each rehabilitation session, and at the end of rehabilitation. Follow-up assessments will occur at 1 and 2 years to monitor urinary incontinence outcomes. The main measure is the urinary incontinence score comparison between the two groups at the end of the video-based education program (5 weeks after inclusion).
