Researchers are evaluating the effects of a 6-week mindfulness meditation program in pregnant women between 12 and 28 weeks of gestation. The study compares this mindfulness program with a standard psychological support program to see if mindfulness can reduce negative feelings like stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep problems during pregnancy. The study also looks at whether mindfulness improves positive feelings such as mindfulness skills, self-confidence, happiness, life satisfaction, and the bond between mother and baby during pregnancy and after birth. Participants in the mindfulness group will attend one instructor-led meditation session each week and complete five guided audio meditation sessions at home weekly for six weeks. The control group will receive standard therapeutic follow-up with one consultation per week for six weeks. This approach allows comparison of the mindfulness program's impact against usual prenatal support. During the study, participants will complete questionnaires at the start and after six weeks, measuring anxiety, stress, depression, sleep quality, mindfulness, self-efficacy, happiness, life satisfaction, and prenatal attachment. The study also monitors mother-infant attachment and infant outcomes up to 12 months after birth. Researchers aim to see if the mindfulness program leads to better mental health for the mother and improved infant well-being compared to standard care.
