Researchers are investigating how murottal, which are Islamic verse recitations, and classical music affect postoperative pain and inflammation in patients undergoing lower limb orthopedic surgery with spinal anesthesia. The study focuses on whether these non-drug therapies can reduce pain intensity and lower levels of interleukin 6, an inflammatory marker, after surgery. The goal is to better understand if these calming interventions can improve recovery by managing pain and inflammation. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: listening to murottal recitations, listening to classical music, or receiving standard postoperative care without music. The selected therapy will be administered during the surgery. Pain levels will be measured using a numeric rating scale before and 30 minutes after surgery. Blood samples will also be collected at these times to measure interleukin 6 levels and assess inflammation. Throughout the study, participants will undergo routine checkups to monitor safety and therapy success. The main outcomes measured are pain intensity shortly before and after surgery and changes in interleukin 6 levels. This trial aims to provide insights into the potential benefits of music-based therapies as supportive care for managing pain and inflammation after orthopedic surgery.
