Researchers are evaluating a new Brief SEE FAR CBT protocol for adults aged 18 and older with posttraumatic stress disorder PTSD. The study compares this focused cognitive-behavioral therapy to dynamic psychotherapy as treatment as usual. It aims to assess changes in PTSD symptoms, anxiety, depression, perceived stress, resilience, somatic symptoms, sleep quality, and other psychological outcomes over the course of treatment and follow-up. Participants in the Brief SEE FAR CBT group will first receive 6 focused weekly sessions targeting intrusive PTSD symptoms, followed by continuation to complete the full 12-session SEE FAR CBT protocol. The comparison group will receive dynamic psychotherapy approximately once weekly, representing standard psychological care. Psychological outcomes are measured at baseline, after 6 and 12 sessions, and again at a 3-month follow-up. During the study, participants complete self-report questionnaires at these four time points to track symptom changes and other psychological factors. The research team will monitor participants through the treatment period and follow-up to evaluate the impact of each therapy. Total participation lasts through the 12 sessions and includes assessment at 3 months after treatment completion.
