This research aims to evaluate whether a Community-Based Primary Health Care Project can reduce the inappropriate use of the Emergency Medical System in Bergamo. The study focuses on analyzing monthly changes in urgent calls made to the Emergency Medical System to understand the project’s impact. Participants will be involved in a behavioral intervention where mediation is provided between citizens and health workers. This is intended to help ensure that social and health services are used appropriately and in an orderly manner. The study monitors how this community-based approach influences use patterns of emergency services. During the study, researchers will track the number of inappropriate accesses to the Emergency Medical System while the intervention is ongoing. Participants who make urgent calls to the emergency system will be assessed. The study includes all genders and participants up to 100 years old, focusing on the frequency and appropriateness of emergency calls to measure the intervention’s effect.
