Osteoporosis is a common skeletal disorder in women over 50 years old, increasing the risk of fractures and related health problems. This research evaluates the relationship between circulating microRNAs and the response to two osteoporosis treatments, romosozumab and abaloparatide, in postmenopausal women. These small molecules may help predict how well a treatment improves bone density. The study also explores connections between microRNAs and other bone and aging markers, aiming to improve treatment choices. Participants receive either romosozumab or abaloparatide for twelve months, with treatments given as part of usual care. The study groups include postmenopausal women treated with these medications, and researchers will assess changes over time. Blood samples will be collected to measure circulating microRNAs and biomarkers related to bone metabolism and aging at baseline, and after 2, 6, and 12 months of treatment. During the study, women will undergo bone density scans and blood tests at each time point to monitor treatment effects. The main measurements are microRNA expression profiles and bone mineral density changes. The study does not randomize participants or use blinding. The total participation duration spans one year with multiple evaluations to track responses and safety under medical supervision.
