Researchers are evaluating the effects of a beverage containing chamomile and L-theanine on menstrual symptoms, pain intensity, mood, and sleep quality in young adult females experiencing primary dysmenorrhea. The study focuses on women aged 18 to 30 who have regular menstrual cycles and specific pain levels related to their menstrual periods. Participants will consume either a chamomile with L-theanine (CTT) beverage containing 480 mg of chamomile extract and 200 mg of L-theanine or a chamomile-flavored beverage as a comparison. The intervention aims to assess how these beverages influence menstrual pain and associated symptoms over the study period. During the study, researchers will monitor participants' pain intensity, menstrual symptoms, sleep quality, and mood for two months. These measures will help understand the potential effects of the chamomile and L-theanine beverage on managing primary dysmenorrhea and its impact on daily well-being.
