Researchers are studying the quality of primary healthcare for patients with arterial hypertension in Morocco, focusing on the diseases prevalence, types, complications, and treatment personalization. This observational cohort study aims to improve understanding and management of hypertension by comparing current data with past results and other North African countries. The study highlights key aspects like timely care, accessibility, and adherence to clinical guidelines. The study uses a remote electronic registry to collect anonymous medical data from both primary care and hospital settings. Trained investigators will standardize blood pressure measurements to reduce errors. Data gathered will include clinical details, treatments, complications, anthropometric measurements, blood pressure readings using validated devices or ambulatory monitoring, and metabolic assessments such as blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Cardiovascular complications will also be tracked. The follow-up period targets one year to observe complications related to hypertension. Participants aged 18 and older with diagnosed hypertension will provide informed consent before inclusion. Researchers will analyze the prevalence and geographic spread of hypertension, its various types, and associated complications at the study start. Data collection includes physical measurements, laboratory tests, and complication records. The study will compare findings to previous years and other countries to identify care gaps and progress. The total participation spans from initial inclusion through a one-year follow-up to monitor outcomes and inform better prevention and treatment strategies.
