Researchers are studying patients with metastatic breast cancer who are receiving palbociclib treatment in Swedish clinical practice. The study aims to describe patient characteristics, treatment patterns, and clinical outcomes for those treated with palbociclib. This observational research focuses on patients with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Participants in this study have at least one filled prescription of palbociclib, often in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant. The study does not involve any experimental treatments but collects data on how palbociclib is used in real-world settings from January 2017 to September 2020. During the study, researchers will review records to assess the proportion of patients on palbociclib treatment and those alive over the specified time. They will also describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of the patient population receiving palbociclib combination therapy. The study involves no direct interventions or additional procedures for participants and continues until the end date in May 2026.
