Researchers are studying how experiencing the operating room environment through virtual reality glasses affects patients' fear before surgery and their views on nursing care. This randomized controlled experimental study focuses on patients undergoing elective cholecystectomy surgery who have not previously seen the operating room. The goal is to see if this virtual experience can reduce surgical fear and improve perceptions of care, which may also influence vital signs and the need for premedication. Participants will watch a specially made 360-degree video that shows the operating room, premedication, and post-operative care unit, narrated by the researcher. The video is viewed through virtual reality glasses connected to an Android phone and can be watched multiple times. This immersive experience aims to familiarize patients with the surgical environment before their operation. During the study, researchers will measure changes in patients' surgical fear levels and their perceptions of nursing care after the virtual reality experience. These outcomes will help assess how well this method informs patients and reduces anxiety. The study also monitors the patients' vital signs and need for premedication to understand the broader effects on patient care quality.
