Researchers are evaluating the effect of online individual motivational interviewing on well-being, stress, and difficulties in adults with Type 2 Diabetes. This study recognizes that managing type 2 diabetes requires ongoing self-care and that stress can negatively impact disease management, while positive well-being can improve outcomes. The study will be conducted from March 2024 to March 2025 with patients followed at Yozgat Bozok University Health Practice and Research Center Internal Medicine Polyclinic. Participants in the motivational interview group will receive four weekly online sessions, each lasting up to 40 minutes, conducted individually via the WhatsApp platform. The timing of sessions will be arranged with each participant and reminders will be provided by phone a day before each session. This behavioral intervention is designed to support better stress coping and promote positive well-being in individuals with diabetes. During the study, researchers will assess changes in how participants cope with stress over four weeks. Data will be analyzed using statistical methods like chi-square tests, t-tests, and regression analyses. Participants will be monitored for changes in well-being, stress levels, and difficulties related to diabetes management throughout the study period.
