Researchers are exploring treatments for inflammation around dental implants, specifically peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, which can threaten implant stability. This clinical trial evaluates whether adding cold atmospheric plasma CAP using the AmbiJet system after standard mechanical cleaning is safe, well-tolerated, and can reduce inflammation faster than standard care alone. The study focuses on patients with these implant-related inflammatory conditions and aims to assess the devices performance over six months. Participants will receive either standard mechanical debridement according to established guidelines or the same standard treatment plus an additional application of cold plasma directly on the affected implant surfaces using the AmbiJet device. The device includes specialized applicators designed for different inflammation stages and is applied immediately after mechanical cleaning. This randomized study compares these two approaches to measure differences in treatment outcomes. During the trial, participants will undergo clinical assessments including measurement of tissue inflammation via the Implant Mucosal Index at baseline, 1 week, and 4 weeks after treatment. Pain and post-treatment discomfort will be recorded using a Visual Analog Scale immediately and during follow-up visits. Participants will be monitored for safety and treatment effectiveness over six months, with regular dental evaluations and imaging as needed to track implant health and inflammation resolution.
