Outcomes in Pediatric and Young Adult B-Cell Malignancies After Commercially Available Immunotherapy
Researchers are studying children and young adults with B cell malignancies such as B cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) or B cell lymphoma. The study aims to use a consistent and standardized approach to look at outcomes after receiving immunotherapy treatments like blinatumomab, inotuzumab ozogamicin, or commercial CAR T cell therapy including Kymriah. This research focuses on both retrospective and prospective data collection for patients up to 26 years old. Participants will complete questionnaires at various times including before treatment and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after CAR T cell infusion. These questionnaires will gather information on demographics, socioeconomic factors, household hardships, barriers to care, and patient-reported outcomes following immunotherapy. The study includes those who have received standard chemotherapy without immunotherapy, those who have had FDA-approved immunotherapy, and those undergoing or planned for standard of care immunotherapy treatments. During the study, researchers will collect baseline and follow-up data through surveys such as the WECARE survey to evaluate patient experiences and outcomes up to 12 months post-infusion. Participants or their legal representatives will provide informed consent, and older children will be involved appropriately. The study tracks various social and medical factors to better understand treatment impact and challenges over time.
