Researchers are studying brain-to-brain synchrony, which is how brain activity syncs between two people, to understand how DNA similarity and social interactions affect this connection. The study focuses on pairs of identical twins, good friends from the same country region, and strangers from different countries. The goal is to explore brain synchrony during Transcendental Meditation practice. Participants will engage in Transcendental Meditation, a behavioral meditation practice, while brain-to-brain synchrony is measured. The study includes three groups: five pairs of identical twins, five pairs of good friends, and five pairs of strangers, with ages ranging from 18 to 50 years. During the 20-minute Transcendental Meditation session, brain activity synchrony will be recorded and analyzed. Participants must be healthy and already practice Transcendental Meditation. The study excludes those with mental or physical health issues. This research helps to understand social dynamics through brain connection patterns during meditation.
