Researchers are reviewing anonymous medical records to understand the outcomes of different treatment methods for chronic pain. This observational study includes various patient groups to assess how different treatments have worked over time in real-world settings. The study is sponsored by Boston Scientific Corporation and focuses on patients who have been treated with or are eligible for spinal cord stimulation and other therapies. The study looks at patients who have previously received or are eligible for implantation with spinal cord stimulation systems or other treatments like radiofrequency (RF) or intrathecal drug delivery systems (IDS). It also examines those who have switched from one treatment to another to compare outcomes. This retrospective review evaluates existing data without providing new treatments. Participants' medical charts are analyzed in a de-identified way to measure outcomes such as the responder rate over approximately two years. The study involves multiple centers and collects data on different treatment groups to better understand the effectiveness of various approaches for managing chronic pain. There is no direct participant involvement as the study uses past medical records.
