Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Current diagnosis of lung cancer with a driver mutation.
- Known driver mutation confirmed by tests such as NGS, PCR, IHC, FISH, or RT-PCR.
- Able and willing to give informed consent.
- Able and willing to complete the screening questionnaire.
- Age between 40 and 80 years.
- Must have a first-degree relative eligible for Cohort A.
- Smoked less than 20 pack years (packs per day multiplied by years smoked).
- Able to undergo a low dose chest CT scan.
- Any upper respiratory infection in the last 3 months must be resolved by enrollment.
- Able and willing to comply with protocol requirements.
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous history of lung cancers.
- Symptoms suggesting current lung cancer, such as unexplained weight loss over 15 pounds in 12 months or unexplained coughing up blood.
- Pregnant at time of enrollment.
- History of any cancer within 5 years, except in situ carcinomas and non-melanoma skin cancers if excised.
- Current smoker.
- Smoked 20 or more pack years.
- Had a chest CT scan within 1 year before study entry.
