Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 45 and 74 years old
  • Smoker with at least 30 pack-years or former smoker who quit less than 15 years ago
  • Never participated in a lung cancer screening program
  • Signed the free and informed consent form
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Advanced chronic diseases (cardiovascular, pulmonary, hepatic, renal, or metabolic) limiting life expectancy or curative surgery
  • Currently treated for tuberculosis or other granulomatous diseases
  • Previous cancers that may cause lung metastases
  • Pregnant women
  • Unable to undergo low-dose chest CT
  • Previous thoracic radiotherapy
