Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female gender
- Age between 35 and 75 years old
- Post-bronchodilator spirometry showing FEV1/FVC less than 0.8 and FEV1 percent predicted 80% or higher
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of diseases affecting lung function such as lung cancer, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, or history of chest surgery
- Body mass index (BMI) over 35 kg/m2
- Dementia or other severe neurological diseases
- Pregnancy
- Any condition that contraindicates lung function testing
