Researchers are studying the use of magnesium injections as an alternative to steroid injections for managing pain, especially in patients who may be at risk of infections due to steroid-related immunosuppression. The study focuses on adult chronic pain patients who have previously received interventional injection therapy and aims to evaluate magnesium's effectiveness in providing pain relief without the side effects associated with steroids. This prospective observational study collects detailed data on pain and sleep quality following magnesium injections. Participants will receive magnesium injections as part of their pain management therapy instead of steroids. The study tracks changes in pain using the validated Numeric Pain Rating Scale and assesses sleep quality using the Likert sleep scale. A 2-point or greater change in either pain or sleep scores is considered significant. The data will be analyzed statistically to understand the impact of magnesium injections on pain and sleep. During the study, participants will maintain a regular sleep and pain diary to monitor treatment effects. Researchers will review these diaries along with clinical records to ensure quality and compliance. Pain scores and sleep quality will be evaluated 12 weeks after treatment. The study involves ongoing monitoring of participant responses and treatment adherence to assess safety and effectiveness over time.
