Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adult patients
- Body mass index < 30 kg/m2 (weight/height in m2)
- Mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
- Sagittal collapse of the lateral pharyngeal walls confirmed by drug induced sleep endoscopy (DISE)
You will not qualify if you...
- Refusal to enroll in the study
- Pregnant women
- Refusal to undergo surgery
- Contraindication to anesthesia
- Patients with multilevel airway obstruction
- Serious psychiatric, neurological, or cardiopulmonary diseases such as COPD or corpulmonale
- Uncorrected hypothyroidism
- Severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
- Craniofacial anomalies
- Central and mixed apnea
- Morbid obesity
