Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Previous diagnosis of oropharyngeal cancer (any histological type)
  • Completed curative (chemo)radiotherapy of at least 68Gy to the primary site within 1 year before inclusion
  • Age over 18 years
  • Ability to provide written and informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnancy
  • Surgery or Botox injections in the head and neck tissue
  • Locoregional deep infection such as suspected abscess at measurement times
  • Prior daily treatment with self-manual lymphatic drainage
  • Other treatments for head and neck lymphedema, for example compression
  • Psychiatric disorders
  • Substance abuse problems
