Markerless Image Guidance Using Intrafraction Kilovoltage X-ray Imaging
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Willing to follow all trial procedures and provide written informed consent
- Undergoing external beam radiotherapy
- Histologically confirmed Stage I non-small cell lung cancer or up to three lung metastases
- MRI or 4D-CT performed before fiducial marker insertion
- Able to have fiducial markers placed in the lung (with clearance if on anticoagulants)
- ECOG performance status between 0 and 2
- Maximum of three lung metastases from non-blood cancers, treated separately
- Tumor diameter between 1 cm and 5 cm in any dimension
- Tumor centroid located within 10 cm of the top of the diaphragm
You will not qualify if you...
- Low respiratory performance as assessed by a doctor
- Previous high-dose radiation therapy to the chest
- Fewer than one fiducial marker implanted in the lung
- Fiducial markers located more than 9 cm from the tumor centroid
- Cytotoxic chemotherapy within 3 weeks before or during treatment
- Targeted therapy drugs within 7 days before or during treatment
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Unable or unwilling to complete quality of life questionnaires
