Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Female
  • Ages 18 to 40 years old
  • Singleton pregnancy between 28 weeks, 0 days and 41 weeks, 0 days gestation at consent
  • Undergoing cesarean section, planned or unplanned, with or without trial of labor
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Treatment of severe hypertension with antihypertensives or magnesium sulfate after hospitalization for preeclampsia
  • Major fetal structural anomalies or chromosomal abnormalities
  • Cesarean section due to placental abruption or bleeding complications
  • Singleton pregnancy not between 36 weeks, 0 days and 41 weeks, 0 days gestation at enrollment (delivery)
