What this Trial Is About
Researchers are studying new cases of polyarthritis in children and young adults up to 50 years old who have diagnoses including juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), seronegative, psoriatic, undifferentiated arthritis (UA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), or diffuse systemic sclerosis (dSS). The study aims to improve and standardize care and clinical response goals, focusing on patients who are either new to basic treatments or have been treated for no more than three months, except for JIA patients. This observational study is conducted by the Rheumatology and Pediatrics departments of three French-speaking universities. Participants are grouped into five cohorts based on diagnosis and age, including children and young adults with recent diagnoses who are treatment-naive or minimally treated. These cohorts will undergo standardized clinical monitoring with specific objectives to evaluate disease control and clinical remission according to international criteria. The study plans to progressively include new patients over 5 to 10 years, aiming to analyze outcomes such as remission rates and absence of synovitis in RA patients. During the study, participants will receive regular clinical assessments to monitor disease status and treatment responses. Researchers will measure outcomes related to disease remission and symptom control over approximately 15 years. The long-term follow-up will help analyze quality of life and prognostic markers, supporting optimized patient care. Participants will be observed through standardized evaluations without experimental treatment interventions.
