Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female aged between 18 and 80 years
- Diagnosed with Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MCADD) for patient group
- Male or female aged between 18 and 80 years for healthy participants
You will not qualify if you...
- Having diabetes
- Having kidney or liver disease
- Use of beta blockers or diuretics
- Pregnant, lactating, or planning pregnancy during the study
- Regular intake of large amounts of coconut oil, palm kernel oil, or other sources rich in MCFA
- Ongoing cancer treatment
- Having metabolic or absorptive disorders, gastric bypass surgery, or using medication affecting metabolism or food absorption
- Physically or mentally unable to follow study procedures as determined by investigators
