Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Male or female aged between 18 and 80 years
  • Diagnosed with Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MCADD) for patient group
  • Male or female aged between 18 and 80 years for healthy participants
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Having diabetes
  • Having kidney or liver disease
  • Use of beta blockers or diuretics
  • Pregnant, lactating, or planning pregnancy during the study
  • Regular intake of large amounts of coconut oil, palm kernel oil, or other sources rich in MCFA
  • Ongoing cancer treatment
  • Having metabolic or absorptive disorders, gastric bypass surgery, or using medication affecting metabolism or food absorption
  • Physically or mentally unable to follow study procedures as determined by investigators
