Evaluating Mindfulness-Based Education After Childbirth to Influence Mothers Role Perception and Anxiety Levels

Researchers are evaluating the effects of a mindfulness-based postpartum discharge education program on mothers perception of their maternal role and their anxiety levels after childbirth. This observational study involves 84 postpartum women divided into an experimental group and a control group to compare the impact of the mindfulness education against standard hospital discharge care. Within the first 24 hours after delivery, mothers in the experimental group receive a 60-minute individual mindfulness-based education session in addition to routine discharge care. The control group receives only the standard discharge education. One week later, both groups complete a second assessment. The experimental group then receives weekly follow-up reminders and monitoring via WhatsApp for one month. At the end of the first postpartum month, final assessments are conducted. Participants will complete questionnaires including the Maternal Role Perception Scale and the Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale at baseline, one week, and one month postpartum. Researchers will analyze changes over time and compare groups using statistical methods. The study includes systematic follow-up through weekly messages and monitoring charts to track adherence and outcomes over the month. Total participation lasts about one month from delivery.
