This research addresses innovative treatment strategies for stroke rehabilitation, focusing on hybrid approaches due to the complexity of stroke and its impact as a major cause of long-term disability. The study aims to evaluate the combined use of mirror therapy (MT) and augmented reality (AR) as a novel intervention to improve motor and sensory function, mobility, daily activities, quality of life, and self-efficacy in stroke survivors. This is a single-blinded, three-armed randomized controlled trial involving 128 participants with stroke aged 30 to 80 years. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: the experimental group will receive 40 minutes of mirror therapy followed by 40 minutes of augmented reality training and 10 minutes of functional practice; the comparison group will receive 80 minutes of augmented reality training plus 10 minutes of functional practice; and the control group will undergo 90 minutes of conventional occupational therapy including 10 minutes of functional practice. Interventions will be delivered for 90 minutes per day, three days a week, over six weeks. Participants will be assessed at baseline, immediately after the six-week intervention, and at a three-month follow-up. Primary outcomes include the upper-extremity Fugl-Meyer Assessment and Berg Balance Scale. Secondary outcomes cover sensory impairment, arm use, daily activities, self-efficacy, and quality of life. Researchers will analyze treatment effects and identify predictors of success. The study monitors adherence, functional improvements, and quality of life changes throughout the participation period.
