Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- United States Veteran
- Experiencing chronic pain lasting 3 or more months
- Moderate to severe chronic pain
- Planning or currently using cannabidiol (CBD) or cannabis products for pain management
- Able to read and speak English sufficiently for informed consent and participation
- Willing to attend all virtual study visits
- Willing to complete periodic smartphone assessments about symptoms and cannabis use
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to provide informed consent (e.g., cognitive impairment, insufficient English communication)
- Pregnant
- Planning to move out of a state with legal recreational marijuana use during the study
- Current or past diagnosis of psychotic disorder (schizophrenia spectrum), excluding substance/medication-induced
- Current or past diagnosis of bipolar disorder
- Unable to attend study visits
- Risk of imminent harm including suicidal ideation as assessed by study team
- Any condition or situation that would prevent satisfactory completion of the study protocol
