The goal of this clinical trial is to develop My Mobile Wallet- a behavioral and economic intervention to support tuberculosis treatment adherence in rural southwestern Uganda. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Newly diagnosed with tuberculosis as per clinic records (including those living with HIV)
- Starting tuberculosis treatment now or have been on treatment for less than 2 weeks
- Own a mobile phone
- At least 18 years old
- Live in Mbarara District, Uganda
- Willing to grow hair on the head and allow small hair samples (10-25 strands) to be collected at months 2 and 4
- Able and willing to give consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to use mobile money-based SMS after training and testing
- Severe mental condition that limits the ability to provide consent
