The goal of this clinical trial is to develop My Mobile Wallet- a behavioral and economic intervention to support tuberculosis treatment adherence in rural southwestern Uganda. Age: 18Years - 100Years

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Newly diagnosed with tuberculosis as per clinic records (including those living with HIV)
  • Starting tuberculosis treatment now or have been on treatment for less than 2 weeks
  • Own a mobile phone
  • At least 18 years old
  • Live in Mbarara District, Uganda
  • Willing to grow hair on the head and allow small hair samples (10-25 strands) to be collected at months 2 and 4
  • Able and willing to give consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Unable to use mobile money-based SMS after training and testing
  • Severe mental condition that limits the ability to provide consent
