Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Verified HIV status
- Current marijuana use (for marijuana user groups)
- No current marijuana use (for non-user groups)
- Currently engaged in HIV care (HIV-positive participants)
- Receiving combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) as first-line treatment (HIV-positive participants)
- Stable cART regimen (HIV-positive participants)
- Undetectable HIV RNA viral load for more than 1 year (HIV-positive participants)
You will not qualify if you...
- Lifetime abuse of any illicit drug other than marijuana
- Less than 9th grade education, illiteracy, or lack of English fluency
- History of moderate or severe head trauma
- Unstable or serious neurological disorders
- Severe mental illness
- Systemic autoimmune diseases
- Receiving immunotherapy
- Contraindications to MRI
