Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Fluent in English
- Diagnosis of PMD or PNES confirmed by a neurologist with expertise in movement disorders
- For patients, unlikely to require treatment changes for 3-6 months after screening
- Age between 18 and 65 years
You will not qualify if you...
- History of significant neurological disorder interfering with study data
- Chronic or progressive medical condition
- History of traumatic brain injury or significant head trauma
- Current substance abuse or dependence
- History of psychotic or psychiatric disorders affecting data
- Pregnancy
- Metal implants or devices in head or body, including neurostimulators, pacemakers, or ferromagnetic substances
- Use of tricyclic antidepressants, antiepileptic, or CNS active drugs with strong hazard potential
- Recent inflammatory or autoimmune disorder within last 6 months
- For PMD/PNES patients: diagnosis of organic seizure disorders, other neurological disorders, dementia, recurrent visual hallucinations, uncontrollable head movements, clinically significant vital sign abnormalities
