What this Trial Is About
This is an observational, non-therapeutic study to collect clinical and molecular information of pediatric patients with childhood melanocytic lesions. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To perform a comprehensive molecular analysis of samples either from paraffin embedded and/or frozen tissue from patients with pediatric melanocytic lesions (including melanoma, spitzoid melanoma, congenital melanoma, melanoma arising in giant nevi). SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: To collect minimal information on patients treated with adjuvant or systemic therapies according to National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participant has a suspected or confirmed melanocytic lesion, including conventional melanoma, spitzoid melanoma/atypical Spitz tumor, congenital melanoma, melanoma arising in a giant congenital nevus, or melanocytic lesions with uncertain biological behavior
- Participant was younger than 19 years old at diagnosis
- Tissue from the tumor is available for biological studies
- Participant has been or will be enrolled in the TBANK protocol at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital before any research testing
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of ocular melanoma
- Inability or unwillingness of participant or legal guardian to give consent
- Histologic diagnosis other than the melanocytic lesions listed in inclusion
