Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
- Aged between 12 and 19 years
- Using a Dexcom (G6 or G7) continuous glucose monitor
- Have a working CGM established for at least 12 hours and not needing replacement within 24 hours
- Willing to share daily CGM data for the study
- The only person with any type of diabetes in their household
- Willing to return the sensing device within 24-48 hours after study completion
- Located in Indianapolis, IN or surrounding suburban areas
You will not qualify if you...
- Smokers or tobacco users or living with someone who smokes nearby
- Have any condition other than type 1 diabetes that may affect safety or data quality
- Using closed-loop diabetes management systems
- Having symptoms or recent diagnosis of upper respiratory illness including COVID-19
- Participant or household member on a ketogenic diet
- Participant or household member working in industries with high continuous exposure to external VOCs (e.g., beauty salons, paint manufacturing)
- Unable or unwilling to cooperate with sample collection
