Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Baby is between 3 and 8 months corrected age at enrollment
- Caregiver is fluent in English
- Baby is preterm with severe diffuse white matter abnormality on MRI at term OR
- Baby is high-risk (preterm, neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, perinatal stroke) with moderate to severe brain injury on MRI or cranial ultrasound at term or before NICU discharge
- Baby has absent fidgety movements on Prechtl General Movement Assessment between 3 and 4 months corrected age OR
- Baby has a Hammersmith Infant Neuromotor Examination score of 56 or below between 3 and 6 months corrected age
You will not qualify if you...
- Medical conditions that restrict active participation such as oxygen dependence
- Significant visual deficits defined by inability to track an object horizontally
- Living in a remote location that prevents drives to the hospital every other week
