Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Above-knee amputation
- K2/K3/K4 ambulators
- At least 18 years old
- At least one year since amputation
- At least six months since the definitive prosthesis fitting
- Currently prescribed and using a mechanically passive or microprocessor-controlled prosthesis
You will not qualify if you...
- Body weight over 350 lbs
- Cognitive deficits or visual impairment affecting consent or following instructions
- Pregnant women
- Co-morbidities limiting participation (e.g., stroke, pacemaker, severe ischemia, cardiac disease)
- Unable to give consent
- Under 18 years old
- Use a wheelchair for mobility indoors and outdoors
- Prisoners
